The Constitutional Court, the 20-year wait tipped for religious communities. The provision is contrary to the right of non-discrimination in matters of religion.
Vienna / eko. 20 years a group of believers must exercise a religion and be registered for ten years as a religious confessional community, before it is recognized as a religious community in Austria. Yet. Because of the Constitutional Court (Constitutional Court) overturned the provision, because it contradicts the right of non-discrimination in matters of religion. The Constitutional Court-knowledge is the "Press" before. To 20 September 2011 will be given to the legislature a deadline for repairs.
The action had introduced the "covenant evangelical churches" and "Free Mennonite Church." Take advantage of it, they should not, because another provision that is the minimum number of supporters - two thousand of the population, or around 16,000 people - need for recognition remains. This hurdle could only create the Alevis. For them, the knowledge better chance of being quickly recognized as an independent religious community.
