The Federal Administrative Court has the European Court of Justice (ECJ) in two methods for a preliminary decisions regarding refugee status because of religious persecution and the interpretation of Directive 2004/83/EC of the European Union (Qualification Directive options).
Qualification Directive aims include the alignment of legal conditions for the granting of refugee status within the European Union. The German legislature has implemented the directive in August 2007.
